| TommyTM Silt Fence Machine |
The TommyTM Silt Fence Machine installs silt fence in a nearly perfect fashion. Minimal soil disruption during installation allows 100% soil compaction around and against the silt fence, thus eliminating the risk of washout. The patented design of the soil disrupter thinly slices the soil 8-12 inches deep and simultaneously inserts silt fence into the slit as the TommyTM moves forward. When the installation is completed, the vehicle turns around to compact the soil, followed by posting and attachment of the silt fence product.
The TommyTM easily doubles productivity over a trencher, reduces labor and repair costs, and works in all soil types, from hard, compacted rocky soils in Texas and Pennsylvania to wetlands in Florida. It works in many difficult situations like side hills, ditch checks, and through wooded areas because of its compact size and unique design.
The TommyTM is also designed to turn sharply in the soil, enabling a 90 degree turn within 12 feet. Thus contractors can install J-hooks in long runs and turn sharply at property corners. The versatility of the TommyTM gives contractors the ability to tackle nearly every job site, giving their clients a perfect installation. |
