Stormwater USA was created to provide industry professionals with an accessible stormwater training program to meet the growing demand for NPDES training.
The creation of a web-based NPDES training platform ensures that every construction professional has access to this vital training. It is our mission to provide the most up to date and comprehensive NPDES training in order to bring every construction site into compliance and to minimize the ecologic impact associated with construction development. |

Laurie Demers, President and Managing Director, has more than 11 years of experience with Wal-Mart in construction project management and stormwater compliance. During her time at Wal-Mart, Laurie wrote the corporate procedures for stormwater compliance, which are still in use today. Laurie holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
Shirley Morrow, Vice President and Director of Technical Content, is one of the most sought-after stormwater consultants in the industry, Shirley has more than 15 years of experience in construction stormwater compliance and has worked with many municipalities, the EPA, industry regulators and specialists, general contractors, and large owner-developers. Shirley also worked for several years for Wal-Mart Stores, as Manager and then Director of Stormwater, during her tenure there, she authored, taught and administrated Wal-Mart’s well regarded Stormwater certification and compliance program. Shirley holds an M.S. in Environmental Science from Oklahoma State University. |
