Stormwater USA provides two EPA recognized certifications that meet the requirements to become a "Qualified Person."
The first is the Certified Compliance Inspector of Stormwater (CCIS). This is a fundamental class for individuals who work within the construction industry requiring essential training in the areas of erosion and sediment control, the different control measures available, their proper installation and maintenance, and how to properly inspect and record the conditions at a construction site.
Persons who should take this class include those performing the construction site inspections at construction sites, such as:

The second certification is the Certified Preparer of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (CPSWPPPT). This class trains and certifies individuals to prepare Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans. Professionals certified as a CPSWPPPT are also certified to implement and inspect sites for stormwater compliance.
This online stormwater training course module covers the proper life cycle of a construction Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP); gathering the information needed; how to prepare the Construction General Permit application (NOI); documents and forms; site maps and details; and proper design procedures.
